Our Story

New owners, Chef Michael Smith and his wife Chastity are proud to welcome you to their ‘labour of love’. For Michael, coming back to the Inn is a return to his roots. For seven years in the 1990’s, he manned the stoves, bringing International fame to a little known country inn. For Chastity, being an innkeeper is a chance to share her Maritime roots, stylish flair and love of entertaining with you and your family. In each room you will find Bath & Body Works toiletries, Nespresso coffee machines, 300 thread count sheets, terrycloth robes, slippers, flat screen TV’s, free WiFi, air conditioning, and of course first dibs on seats at our nightly FireWorks Feast. FireWorks

Every night we throw a kitchen party and share the many flavours of Prince Edward Island. At 6pm we begin with all-you-can-slurp Oyster Hour featuring artful cocktails and hors d’oeuvres served in the historic kitchen where The Inn Chef was filmed and from the smokehouse in our new Fire Kitchen. The Feast begins at 7pm as we light the FireWorks, our 25’ long wood-burning fire-breathing beast that features every form of live-fire cooking known to man. Dinner is served family style at our long butcher-block tables overlooking Bay Fortune. Join us for an unforgettable evening unlike anything you’ve ever experienced! read more
