With over thirty successful years in the interior decorating and design industry in Ontario Lisa and her husband Lee packed up and headed east to Souris PEI the summer of 2016. They have spent many summers in the Maritimes and both fell in love with the beaches and community of Souris. Decorating, design and the arts go hand in hand. She custom painted murals for children’s rooms, several years designing jewellery working with vintage jewellery components and most recently working with sea glass that is combed from Maritime beaches. Lisa values that each piece created is one of a kind. Working with wool allows her love for colour and texture to run amuck. The wool is all from PEI the technique is needle felting. Her current work features land and seascapes inspired by the beautiful island. One advantage of working with wool is the painterly beauty to it, wool allows her to custom blend the colours, the wool pulls up easily which provides limitless creative freedom.
